Foot Pressure Distribution
I am using thin film pressure sensors and a microcontroller to create a device that will measure the pressure distribution across a person’s feet. This data can be used to identify muscular imbalances and improper biomechanics. Muscular imbalances and improper biomechanics predispose people to injury, but they can also be caused by injury. My device can help prevent injuries and ensure that existing injuries are being rehabilitated properly after they have occurred.
Bio: I am currently a senior computer science major at the George Washington University. I was a physics major before i switched to computer science. I still love physics, so I’m interested in the intersection of computers and the physical world. I enjoy working with microcontrollers, sensors, actuators and motors.
