News articles, books, papers, and other literary sources are all written with a different audience in mind, each audience having varying degrees of subject familiarity and different reading proficiencies.  Text for All Ages will be a tool that takes a Wikipedia article and adjusts the text to be appropriate for a reader of any level. The most significant challenge of developing Text for All Ages is determining the most effective way to convert text, whether it is by removing the hardest sections of an article to lower the reading level or replacing the simpler words with more challenging synonyms for a higher reading difficulty.  It may also be prudent to provide help to readers in more difficult sections, offering word meanings and synonyms for complex ideas.  An existing tool, known as the Lexile Analyzer, can be used to initially determine the readability of an article.  Integrating existing tools and libraries with new ideas will allow for the conversion of text to different levels in the “Lexile Measure” range.
